Location - Delnalyne Holiday Cottage. Tomintoul Delnalyne Cottage is situated in the north of Scotland near the village of Tomintoul in the Cairngorms From the south, you have a choice of routes: The fastest route time-wise is via the A9 to just north of the Aviemore junction, where you take the A95 to Grantown on Spey. Just after Grantown continue on the A95 across the Spey Bridge, and within half a mile, turn right onto the A939 to Tomintoul. Delnlayne is situated 2miles south of the village, just off the A939, on the Glenlivet Crown Estate. A more scenic route is the A93 from Perth to Blairgowire, and Braemar, via Glenshee. From Braemar, follow the A93 towards Ballater, but just before Balmoral Castle and Crathie Kirk, turn left onto the A939 to Cockbridge and Tomintoul. This is a very twisty undulating single track road but full of wonderful changing scenery, dependent on the weather! The turn-off for Delnalyne is 5 miles north of the Lecht Ski Centre. It is also possible to approach the cottage from Aberdeen either via the A93 Royal Deeside route through Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater, to the A939 turn-off just after Balmoral Castle, or via the A944 Donside road through Dunecht, Alford and Strathdon to meet with the A939. From the north, take the A9 from Inverness to the A938 to Grantown via Carrbridge. Detailed directions to Delnalyne will be sent with the final confirmation letter.  |
